A educação de crianças surdas após a sanção da lei n° 14.191/21: reflexões e perspectivas

Abstract

This work, which has the theme: The education of deaf children after the enactment of Law No. 14.191/21: reflections and perspectives, seeks to discuss the initial and continued training of bilingual teachers to work in bilingual schools for the education of the deaf after the sanction of the Law that provides for the modality of bilingual education for the deaf. Thus, the main question that the research will seek to answer consists of, what is the importance of Bilingual Education for deaf people and its impacts, what measures will be taken for the qualified training of teachers and teachers. The research method used in this work is the bibliographic theoretical document that makes use of different sources, submits an analysis and interpretation of deeper particularities of the complexity of human behavior, aiming to identify the available knowledge on the subject, the best formulation of the problem or the construction of hypotheses. In order to reach a result, the work will consist of a general objective, namely, to identify, understand and analyze the actions and concepts for the education of deaf children in Brazil, and three specific objectives. Divided into three chapters, the first presents an overview of the history of Deaf Education and its impacts on deaf subjects over time; in the second chapter, we make an analysis to understand the education of the deaf and the methods currently used, and in the third, we seek to understand the perspectives for the training of bilingual educators after the approval of Law 14.191/21. For this, the research was bibliographical and documentary, of a qualitative nature. The results revealed that we have advanced in the education of the deaf and now, with new laws being implemented and institutions offering qualification for professionals to work in bilingual schools, we can celebrate and envision a better future for deaf people in education.
