Previsão numérica dos recalques em fundações estaqueadas de um edifício localizado na cidade de Jataí-GO

Abstract

Among the classifications of foundations types, there are in the literature definitions of superficial and deep foundations. However, in recent years a new concept has been emerging and gaining more and more attention among structural designers, that is the concept of mixed foundation, which there is union of a superficial foundation with a deep, being the raft with pile. In that type of foundation, part of the efforts is distributed by the raft and another by the piles. A case study was made of a residential building with 12 floors located in the city of Jataí, with designed foundations of the type piles on crowning blocks. For the analysis of predictions settlements, the computational software GARP was used, which predicts foundations of the type raft with pile. In adopting this methodology, the conventional foundations system was replaced by an equivalent raft with pile system. The main purpose of this paper is to show that the predictions settlements is a possibility to increase the useful life of the buildings because knowing numerically which settlements the buildings will be stressed it will help to prevent future pathological manifestations. The results obtained by the program were satisfactory and showed that the use of the software is a way of making predictions settlements. Settlements presented by the software were compared with those calculated for the block of piles, where it was verified that the block of piles presented a settlement on average 100% higher than that of the raft with pile. It was also possible to find the value of the angular distortion of the building that presented within acceptable limits to not problems occurred.
