Inclusão cultural e linguística do aluno surdo no contexto escolar: entre o real e o ideal

Abstract

This project is part of the research line Language, Education and Culture of the Degree in Bilingual Pedagogy of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG). In this, we address issues related to the inclusive educational process of deaf subjects in order to point out the positive and negative aspects of this proposal and the perspectives for this type of education. This research, whose topic is 'Cultural and Linguistic Inclusion of the Deaf Student in the School Context: between the real and the ideal', aims to make a comparative study between the proposal of Inclusive Education and Bilingual Education for the Deaf. As a way of analyzing the obtained data we carried out a bibliographical research with documents of the area and already consolidated researches on the subject. A literature review, such research, constructed a new way of looking at difference and about the interaction and educational process in school. Including the deaf student is essential to emphasize accessibility in their communication in the Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) and is being considered in the different moments of deaf education. The absence of sign language is the cause of most problems. If, in general, the studies currently prioritize questions that reflect on the Sign Language and the Social Identity of the Deaf in the school space and how the legislation fulfills the inclusion of the deaf student. In this sense, the present research described these aspects highlighting the perspectives of the special and cultural inclusive education of the deaf student.
