Realização de roteiro de longa-metragem: Urubu

Abstract

This work presents the process of development and final writing of an original fiction feature film screenplay. It aims to analyze the research line and the objective of this project, recording the technical step-by-step and the creative backstage essential to transform an initial idea into an screenplay, including references, influences, and results from the author's methodological perspective. To that end, the research is based on Syd Field’s three-act structural paradigm and aligns with Joseph Campbell’s concept of the monomyth. The methodology records the stages transitioning from the creation of the original treatment to the rewriting, highlighting the stylistic choices required to set the plot in the countryside of the state of Goiás within an atmosphere of horror. The final object is the screenplay titled “Urubu”, which narrates the story of two siblings who unite in the face of financial hardships and confront macabre challenges in search of survival amidst malice and others desires. It is a genre cinematographic work that explore character, fear, courage, human ambition, and death.
