Logística de distribuição : o caso de um distribuidor de frutas e legumes na central de abastecimento regional de Anápolis/GO.

Abstract

In logistics, one of the main tools for the product to reach its destination at the right time, in the right quantity, in the right place is distribution. In this sense, the objective of this study is to investigate the distribution logistics activities of fruit and vegetable wholesalers located in the Regional Supply Center of Anápolis/GO. Methodologically, the research is classified as qualitative, descriptive and bibliographic. Data collection was through an interview with the owner/responsible for the distribution of fruit and vegetable products located inside the Anápolis Regional Food Supply Center, as well as direct observation of various aspects of the wholesalers' working environment. The establishment analyzed has been operating in the fruit and vegetable distribution business for over 30 years as an intermediary; Its main products are potatoes, onions and apples, these products are purchased fresh; most fruits are stored in a cold room in cardboard boxes, and the others are stored on pallets; movement is carried out manually or mechanically; In distribution, products are transported by box trucks. For a good organization of logistical activities, some suggestions for improvements were made. It is expected that the research results can contribute to a better distribution of products in the investigated location.
