Raízes africanas: o impacto da Lei nº 10.639 nas propostas pedagógicas das escolas de ensino fundamental de Aparecida de Goiânia (GO)

Abstract

This study had as a general objective to verify whether elementary schools, in the initial grades of Aparecida de Goiânia (GO), comply with what is determined by Law No. 10.639/2003, which amends Law No. 9394/1996, to include in the official curriculum from the Education Network the mandatory theme "Afro-Brazilian History and Culture". To verify whether this normative law has been complied with in the pedagogical practices of elementary schools, in the early grades, it was necessary to go through some paths to arrive at an answer to the question proposed during the investigation. In the first part of the research, a bibliographic research was carried out in which studies were carried out from a theoretical framework from the international traffic of Africans to Brazil to the creation of the law, documentary analysis of the Pedagogical Political Projects (PPPs) of two selected educational institutions, in order to understand if the pedagogical proposals are smoothed meet what is determined by the standard. The result points out that education still needs many advances with regard to racial issues.
