O uso do celular como recurso didático no ensino de Química

Abstract

Considering the importance of adhering technologies in the teaching and learning processes, especially the use of cell phones, the present paper reports a research that followed a qualitative approach, accomplished through an experience report and had as objective to investigate the students' perception about the use of the cell phone as a didactic resource in the classroom for online research in the teaching of chemistry. For that, the research had the participation of a group of students of the third year of high school of a public and state school located in the municipality of Itumbiara-GO. This paper is about the use of the cell phone as a didactic resource, the teacher’s training for the handle of ICTs in the classroom and the students perspective on the use of the cell phone in the classroom. The study was carried out in three stages. In the first stage was applied Questionnaire 1, in the second stage the regent teacher planned and gave a class in the classroom and the students could use the internet of their cell phones to do the proposed activities and the researcher student planned and taught two classes in the chemistry lab where students also used the internet from their cell phones to do the proposed activity. In the third and last phase, Questionnaire 2 was applied. The analysis of the information presented by the students in the questionnaires and the observations of the researcher student and the regent teacher of the discipline of chemistry allowed to identify, analyze and separate them into categories. The cell phone contributed to the learning of the students, although some have dispersed, the internet was slow and they found difficulty in the reliability of the searched sites. In general, the objectives of the research were contemplated and it was concluded that the use of the cell phone in the classroom can assist the teacher in his teaching practice and be used as research material by the students.
