Félix Guattari e as revoluções moleculares: uma oposição à subjetividade capitalística

Abstract

To what and to whom does Guattari address in the reflections he makes in "Chaosmose: a new aesthetic paradigm" and "Micropolitics: cartographies of desire"? It addresses subjectivity, opening up new territories for plural identities and for minorities that resist the homogenization imposed by contemporary capitalist society. For the thinker, the central problem is that the current world is marked by the incessant change of territories, by deterritorializations and reterritorializations. The individuals, inserted in it, live in crisis, balancing themselves and trying to reach the speed with which Integrated World Capitalism and the market produced by it, make and unmake situations. Guattari recalls that the emerging subjectivity in these circumstances is by no means simplistic and defends the thesis that it is not situated at the level of univocal or binary traditional systems, but results from collective determinations of various kinds, not only social, but economic, technological. , cultural, semiological, mediatic; it results, in short, from a complexity of elements that properly constitute the contemporary world. In this context, the birth of a new subject inevitably intervenes. But, within the scope of capitalistic society, what can and should this subject do to guarantee his or her uniqueness? It must promote molecular revolutions, that is, it must resist, 're'-signify itself, assert itself, in opposition to this factory of serialized subjectivity, which gives in to the pressure of the economy and consumption. These are the elements to be dealt with throughout this analysis which, in the light of Guattari's thought, will affirm – through molecular revolutions and micropolitics – the positive experience of creativity, the multiplicity of wills and social resistance.
