Título: Estimação de parâmetros de transformadores de potência em regime permanente utilizando o algoritmo Mean-Variance Mapping Optimization (MVMO)

Abstract: This undergraduate thesis presents the application of the Mean-
Variance Mapping Optimization (MVMO) algorithm for estimating
electrical parameters of power transformers under steady-state
operation. Accurate identification of these parameters is essential for
adequate representation of electrical behavior in performance studies,
loss analysis, protection schemes, and power system reliability
assessments. The proposed methodology is based on the modeling of
the single-phase equivalent circuit referred to the primary side,
incorporating resistances, series reactances, and magnetizing branch
parameters. Parameter estimation is formulated as an optimization
problem in which MVMO minimizes the error between measured and
calculated electrical quantities from operational data. The method is
evaluated on three transformers with different power ratings (2 kVA, 15
kVA, and 33 MVA), comparing its performance with five well-
established algorithms: Genetic Algorithm, Particle Swarm
Optimization, Gravitational Search Algorithm, Bacterial Foraging
Algorithm, and Caothic Optimization Algorithm. Results demonstrate
good performance of MVMO, with parameter errors lower than 0.2%
for the 15 kVA and 33 MVA cases, establishing it as a viable alternative
for parametric identification of transformers across different power
scales.

Eficiência energética para instituição pública com foco no IFG Câmpus Jataí

Abstract: Energy efficiency in the public sector is fundamental for economic and
environmental sustainability. This work presents an energy diagnosis
conducted at the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) – Jataí Campus,
aiming to identify causes of inefficiency and propose technical
solutions for cost reduction and consumption optimization.
The methodology was characterized as a quantitative case study,
structured in four stages: tariff analysis, measurement of electrical
quantities and power quality using a power quality analyzer (Fluke
1738), evaluation of the existing photovoltaic generation system, and an
inventory of air conditioning loads. The diagnosis results revealed an
underestimation of the contracted demand, generating recurring
penalties, as well as a marked current imbalance between phases and a
solar generation deficit of approximately 67% to achieve self-
sufficiency. It was also identified that the air conditioning system,
composed mostly of conventional equipment, is the main driver of peak
consumption. In conclusion, the study recommends adjusting the
contracted demand to 107 kW while maintaining the Green tariff,
replacing the air conditioning system with inverter technology, and the
strategic expansion of the photovoltaic system considering the tariff
adjustment factor for Group A consumers.

Abstract: This Final Undergraduate Project presents the development and
simulation of a digital twin of an articulated robotic arm, using the
integration between SolidWorks and MATLAB/Simulink platforms,
through the Simscape Multibody environment. The main objective is to
create a detailed virtual representation of the physical manipulator,
capable of reproducing its kinematic and dynamic behavior in real time,
enabling high-fidelity testing of control and trajectory planning
strategies. The mechanical model was initially built in SolidWorks,
with custom-designed parts structured to enable three rotational degrees
of freedom. After full assembly, the robot was exported to MATLAB in
XML format using the Simscape Multibody Link tool. From this
model, a physical schematic of rigid bodies and revolute joints was
automatically generated, compatible with multiscale simulations.
Subsequently, functional blocks were implemented in Simulink for
generating Cartesian space trajectories using 4×4 homogeneous
transformation matrices, along with inverse kinematics algorithms that
converted desired poses into joint angles. Feedback control was
performed using PID blocks connected to angular error comparators,
enabling independent control of each joint.
The integration of all components resulted in a functional digital twin,
tested with various trajectories and validated in terms of accuracy and
stability. The developed model contributes to advancing applications in
automation, education, and the development of digital prototypes in the
fields of robotics and cyber-physical systems.

Abstract: This work aims to analyze the behavior of a 230 kV transmission line segment,
focusing on the phenomenon known as the Ferranti Effect. Calculations will be
performed to demonstrate the phenomenon and to determine the values required for
compensation using shunt inductive reactors. Subsequently, computer simulations
of the transmission system will be performed. The total length of the line is 508
km. The simulations will be conducted using the ATPDraw software, based on real
data provided by the local electricity company. The simulations will be divided into
two main scenarios: Scenario 1, with the line operating under no-load conditions
without inductive compensation; and Scenario 2, with the line operating under no-
load conditions with inductive reactors. Through these analyses, it will be possible
to observe the Ferranti Effect and evaluate the effectiveness of reactive
compensation.
