Abstract: This study presents a technical analysis of the infrastructure and road safety conditions of the North-South BRT corridor, located in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, with emphasis on the segment between the Paulo Garcia and Hailé Pinheiro terminals, covering the Jenipapo, Jatobá, Jacarandá, and Praça do Violeiro stations. In an urban context marked by the growth of the vehicle fleet, intensified travel demand, and greater exposure of vulnerable road users, the study highlights the importance of high-capacity public transport systems, such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), in promoting safer, more efficient, and more sustainable urban mobility. However, the performance of these systems depends directly on the adequacy of the infrastructure, universal accessibility, and compliance with road safety principles. The research is descriptive in nature and adopts a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach, structured as a case study. The method is based on the application of the Road Safety Audit (RSA), used as a preventive tool to identify deficiencies associated with geometric design, operation, and maintenance of road infrastructure. Initially, a literature review was conducted using books, scientific articles, legislation, and technical manuals related to road safety, urban mobility, and BRT systems, in order to provide the theoretical basis for the analyses developed. Additionally, documentary analysis was carried out using urban mobility plans, system operational data, institutional records, and official traffic crash statistics. The fieldwork stage included technical visits technical the corridor, with visual inspections, systematic observation, photographic records, measurements, and the application of technical checklists based on RSA protocols. These tools made it possible to assess elements such as road geometry, pavement conditions, horizontal and vertical signage, public lighting, accessibility, pedestrian crossings, urban furniture, modal integration, and the operational conditions of the stations. The collected data were processed through descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative content analysis, enabling the identification of patterns, critical points, and nonconformities in relation to national and international technical standards and guidelines. The results indicate the presence of deficiencies, including deteriorated sidewalks, failures in tactile paving, poorly located crossings, worn horizontal signage, insufficient lighting, architectural barriers, and the absence of suitable areas for taxi and ride-hailing pick-up and drop-off. Such nonconformities compromise universal accessibility, increase exposure to risk, and reduce the operational efficiency of the system. As a contribution, the study proposes corrective and preventive technical recommendations, prioritizing low-cost, high-impact interventions aimed at improving road safety, accessibility, and the quality of urban public transport. Keywords: Public transport. BRT. Road Safety Audit. Urban mobility. Traffic crashes.

Abstract: The disorderlygrowth of Brazilian cities, coupled with the continuousincrease invehiclefleets, intensifiesurbanmobilityproblemssuch as congestion, long travel times, and highatmosphericpollutantemissions. Urbanintersectionsstand out as criticalpoints in the road network, concentratingtrafficconflicts and exhibitingoperationallimitationsduringpeakperiods. This research evaluates different traffic controlalternatives for the intersectionbetween Avenida Transbrasiliana and Avenida Feira deSantana, in Goiânia/GO, using microsimulation with Vissim software. Threescenariosweresimulated: (1) existingroundabout (base scenario); (2) fixed-timetrafficsignal; (3)
intelligenttrafficsignal. The performance indicatorsassessedincludeaveragewaitingtime, level of service, queuelength, and pollutantemissions (CO, NOx, VOCs) and fuelconsumption. The resultsindicated that Scenario 3 (actuatedsignal) presented the bestoverall performance. However, structuralbottlenecks in certainapproachespersistedeven with actuated control, suggesting the need for complementarygeometricintervention or public transportprioritization. It is concluded that the implementation ofan intelligenttrafficsignal is more efficient for improvingurbanmobility and reducingenvironmentalimpacts, although the importance of integratedvehicledemand
management policies is acknowledged

Abstract: The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás – IFG, is located in the central region of Goiânia, an area of the city that presents several problems related to traffic, such as congestion, accidents, pollution, etc. As in other metropolises, the city has increasingly prioritized automobiles, generating a high demand for parking spaces. The Goiânia Campus, the subject of this undergraduate thesis, has experienced remarkable growth in the number of courses and students since the 2000s, expanding beyond technical education to higher education, which represented an increase in the number of faculty members to meet this demand. This expansion also increased the need for parking on campus for professors and staff. Thus, this work sought to analyze the capacity of the parking lot intended for professors and staff of the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) - Goiânia Campus, using Queueing Theory. The methodology is quantitative and descriptive, using statistical techniques for data analysis. The data was collected through parking lot monitoring images on November 18, 2024 (Monday) and January 28, 2025 (Tuesday). Based on the data obtained in the field research, it was possible to dimension the parking lot intended for professors and staff of the Institution, using the M/M/c model, chosen for this study. This model was adopted because it is suitable for analyzing queuing systems with multiple servers (in this case, parking spaces), with random arrivals and service. The technical analysis demonstrated a minimum need for approximately 104 parking spaces for system stability. In order to improve the quality of the service offered, parking spaces were dimensioned based on three possible scenarios. The first scenario (ρ=1.00) establishes 104 spaces as sufficient to eliminate the current deficit, operating without a safety margin. The intermediate scenario (ρ=0.85) requires 123 spaces, incorporating an operational reserve of 18% aligned with institutional standards. The optimal scenario (ρ=0.75) projects 139 vacancies, providing a 33% margin that ensures full absorption of fluctuations and future demand growth.

Abstract: The objective of this work was to analyze the losses of gravel dust due to the non-use of tarpaulins in urban cargo transport trucks on public roads, through a case study and comparative analysis of its results. The survey of cargo losses was carried out based on the methodology of Rocha and Cardoso (2020), and a questionnaire was applied in order to analyze the main means that losses occur and to collect the experience of workers in the transport of this material. From the analysis of the data and results obtained, it was possible to verify the loss of gravel dust, taking into account the economic cost of this material, thus being able to evaluate the economic advantages that the use of tarpaulin brings to the fine aggregates sector. The results of the weighings showed that the company studied, in one year, saved about 34,467.18 kg of crushed stone dust, which is equivalent to R$1,585.49. Through the application of the questionnaire, it was identified that the main obstacles in the waste of gravel dust are the lack of canvas, the lack of sealing in the bucket and the holes in the track. Finally, the hypothesis was confirmed by proving that non-compliance with the regulation of the use of canvas in trucks causes waste in the transport of gravel dust, with economic losses.
