Abstract: This study aims to analyze major events in the hotel sector in Goiânia, emphasizing their contribution to local economic development and hospitality as a strategic differentiator. To this end, a literature review and analysis of quantitative data were used, allowing us to understand how the holding of fairs, congresses, and festivals boosts hotel occupancy rates and moves other sectors of the economy, such as transportation and commerce. The results indicate that Goiânia has consolidated itself as a hub for business and event tourism, benefiting from its strategic location and investments in the modernization of the hotel network. In 2024, hotels in the capital of Goiás recorded occupancy peaks above 94%, with emphasis on the months of July (94.60%), August (92.32%), and November (93.70%). Events such as the International Environmental Film and Video Festival (FICA) generated an estimated economic impact of R$14.8 million. In addition, the research highlights the essential role of hospitality in retaining visitors and enhancing the value of the destination. It is concluded that Goiânia has the potential to expand its presence in event tourism, provided that it invests in infrastructure, professional training and innovative strategies to promote the destination. Strengthening the sector can guarantee lasting economic benefits for the city and its population.

Abstract: This article addresses the relevance of good food handling practices in an educational institution. Based on Directive Resolution (RDC) No. 216/2004 of the National Health Surveillance Agency, we explore essential information that must

be implemented in all food services. The objective of the study is to identify conformities and non-conformities regarding good practices in the food preparation environment, using a qualitative approach. To this end, we applied a checklist with on-site observation and a questionnaire to food handlers. The results indicate that the handling area requires continuous attention to ensure a contaminant-free meal. Some non-conformities were identified, such as the inadequate use of uniforms and the lack of regular medical examinations for handlers. However, after training by the Municipal Education Department, there was a greater awareness of the importance of good practices, the implementation of a regular cleaning schedule, and improvements in storage and handling techniques. We conclude that corrective and educational actions are essential for improving processes. Good handling practices not only ensure safe food in the school unit but also contribute to the health and well-being of the students.

Abstract: The introduction of hospital hospitality in Brazil, initially focused on faster
patient recovery, has evolved into a broader concept of humanization - a
fundamental element for the success of oncology treatment, through
strategies that mitigate suffering and promote patient and family adherence.
This study, conducted through bibliographic research, aimed to investigate
the effects of hospitality on the experiences of oncology patients presented
in scientific articles published in health databases, since 2006. The
discussions in this work were also based on the work of other authors who
discuss the subject. The results highlight the importance of hospitality for
the well-being of patients and demonstrated that hospitality practices in
oncology units are associated with improved quality of life, reduced stress
and anxiety, greater adherence to treatment and increased satisfaction with
services. Despite the gap in the literature regarding hospitality in oncology
units, it was possible to understand that hospitality as a gift can be
recognized as an essential act in contributing to the humanization of care,
strengthening the bond between health professionals and patients.
