Result of a literature review with a qualitative and exploratory approach, it is pointed out that the main difficulty that teachers face is the lack of continued training to work with Youth and Adult Education (EJA), making it impossible to meet the needs of this teaching modality and contributions to the integrated curriculum. The results indicate that is necessary to have a policy of permanent teacher training and that the teacher needs to constantly reflect on his practive. Its successful execution is complex, since it has a heterogeneous audience, with varying difficulties. However, despite all these difficulties and challenges, PROEJA is already showing an advance in educational policy, requiring the effort of everyone to be a teaching of real quality and impact.
