    <title>ESTUDO DOS IMPACTOS DA ENERGIA FOTOVOLTAICA EM REDES ELÉTRICAS CONVENCIONAIS</title>

Abstract: This work studies the integration of photovoltaic (PV) energy into conventional power&#xD;
&#xD;
grids, focusing on Goiás. Distributed photovoltaic generation (DPVG) has grown signifi-&#xD;
cantly, according to regulatory data, offering benefits such as low environmental impact&#xD;
&#xD;
and improved voltage levels, especially in high-irradiance regions like Goiás. However,&#xD;
most DPVG systems are on-grid, injecting surplus energy into the grid, which may affect&#xD;
power quality. This study analyzes the technical, economic, and environmental impacts&#xD;
of such integration, based on a theoretical approach using data from Brazilian electricity&#xD;
&#xD;
regulatory agencies. It examines how renewable sources influence power quality, par-&#xD;
ticularly with the increasing installation of PV panels, and addresses challenges from&#xD;
&#xD;
intermittency and climatic dependence. The need for modernization of transmission and&#xD;
distribution infrastructure is discussed, along with emerging solutions like smart grids&#xD;
and energy storage. Public policies and incentives for renewable adoption are evaluated,&#xD;
with national and international case studies, emphasizing Goiás. The conclusions&#xD;
highlight the need for infrastructure investments and advanced technologies to enable a&#xD;
cleaner, sustainable energy matrix while maintaining quality and reliability of supply.

Abstract: This work aims to evaluate and improve electrical protection in residential systems, considering the growing concern for safety and energy efficiency. The research is based on the study of a residential renovation project in Valparaíso de Goiás, which reveals that the previous electrical installation did not meet regulatory standards and required updates. The updated electrical project is then developed in compliance with Brazilian standards for low-voltage electrical installations. The study also highlights the importance of regular maintenance and updating of electrical installations to ensure the safety and energy efficiency of residential systems, emphasizing that the implementation of protective devices is crucial for electrical safety. Additionally, the work suggests the use of additional protective devices and other protection techniques to enhance safety, as well as addressing the need to incorporate monitoring and control technologies to ensure effective management of electrical systems. Although the study focuses on a single residential renovation project, it offers valuable contributions to improving the safety and efficiency of electrical systems in general. The conclusion of the work reflects the importance of ensuring long-term electrical safety, with a focus on efficiency and compliance of installations with regulatory standards.

    <title>Análise comparativa de viabilidade econômica entre aquecimento solar de água e energia solar fotovoltaica em sistema residencial</title>

Abstract: In light of the growing interest in renewable energy sources, driven by the need to&#xD;
reduce environmental impacts and electricity costs, this research aims to provide a clear&#xD;
understanding of the advantages and limitations of each technology within a residential context. This work presents a comparative analysis of the economic, environmental, and sustainable viability of residential solar water heating and photovoltaic energy systems. The study covers theoretical concepts, technical standards, and current regulations, and includes a case study involving three residences of varying sizes to assess system&#xD;
performance and return on investment. Payback calculation methodologies and economic projections were applied to evaluate the payback period and the long-term economic benefits of each system. The results show that the solar water heating system, with its lower installation cost, offers a faster financial return, making it an&#xD;
attractive option for households with high hot water consumption. On the other hand, the photovoltaic system, despite a higher initial investment, yields significant savings by reducing or eliminating grid electricity  consumption, proving to be more advantageous in the long term, especially in regions with high solar incidence. This work contributes to the understanding of best practices for implementing solar systems in residential&#xD;
settings, providing a database to assist consumers and professionals in deciding which technology to adopt to maximize savings and sustainability.

Abstract: This paper aims to demonstrate what the speed control of three-phase induction motors and their models is. For this purpose, the PID methodology, which is of great relevance in fluid level control in industrial environments, will be used. Furthermore, the methodologies that underpin the speed variation of these devices will be described. A brief discussion on automation and its impacts on the contemporary world will also be presented, highlighting its challenges and benefits both for the corporate world and for society as a whole. Finally, the paper will present the PID automation model and its fundamentals, followed by a practical example of this control. In the demonstrations, the XC289 educational kit will be used, one of the instructional platforms available in the automation and control laboratories at Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás - Valparaíso Campus (IFG-VAL), used for classroom demonstrations.
